Nancy Szafranski, Office Manager

Biography

Nancy’s career in the Dental field started at the very young age of 14 years old. She has previous experience with hands-on dental assisting in the early years combined with 5 years in an Orthodontic Lab in her hometown of Milford, CT. She moved to Port Charlotte in 1988 with her son Bryan and started with Charlotte Dental Associates just 2 weeks after her arrival. She now has over 30 total years in the dental field with the last 23 years being a Business staff member, currently Office Manager with the Panther Hollow Dental Lodge organization.

She is married to Paul, a music teacher at Liberty Elementary School and together they love to travel in their Motor home with their four dogs and ride their motorcycle all over the US. She has two step-children, Jacob, who resides in Oviedo, FL and Jillian in Hollywood, CA. In her spare time she volunteers for many local groups and is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class of 2007. Very close to her heart for the last 7 years is the American Cancer Society. This year she passionately serves as the Vice Chair of the Relay for Life of Port Charlotte.

Kimberly Hughes, Front Office Manager

Biography

Kimberly was born in central Florida and moved to Port Charlotte from North Carolina in 2003. She has been in the dental field for over 30 years and has done just about every aspect of dentistry from assisting to consulting. She joined the Panther Hollow Dental Lodge team in 2007. She has one daughter Lauren, who just graduated from nurse anesthesia school. She has participated in several fundraisers, with the most recent being Relay for Life/American Cancer Society for the past few years. Kimberly enjoys dancing, gardening, snow skiing and white water rafting.

Angela Popovich, Patient Care Coordinator

Biography

Angela was born in Lafayette, IN. She moved to Floridawith her parents while still in high school. After graduating from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, she married and raised a family. She and her husband, Rick, have been married 46 years and have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Before working for Panther Hollow Dental Lodge, she was a stay at home mom and was an active volunteer in her children’s schools. She was a member of many community groups such as Charlotte County Junior Woman’s Club for 10 years and is a life time member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 26 years. She has been a team member of Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society for six years. She has been part of the business staff at Panther Hollow Dental Lodge now for over 23 years.

Debbie Johnson, Patient Care Coordinator

Biography

Debbie was raised in Rochester, NY, one of eleven children. She moved here from Syracuse, NY. In 1995 she owned and operated a house cleaning business until she joined Panther Hollow Dental Lodge in 2005. She has been married for 30 years to her husband Carl. They have a daughter Tracey in Port Charlotte, a son Paul in Georgia, and three beautiful grandchildren Canaan, Tyler, and Chloe. She loves to exercise, ride bikes, read, and cruise on their motorcycle together.  She has been a team member for Relay for Life for the past 8 years.  As a breast cancer surivor, this is very close to her heart.

Lisa Hobart, Hygiene Coordinator

Biography

Lisa was born in Biddeford Maine, the youngest of 5 children.  She moved to Florida in August 2003.  She started her career in the dental field 12 years ago as an orthodontic assistant.  Lisa is certified as an EFDA in general dentistry.  She joined Panther Hollow in July 2011 and in currently in charge of the dental hygiene department.  Lisa is married to Aaron, a financial advisor for Merrill Edge and has 3 boys.  Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling in their RV and going to Red Sox Games.

Carla Caruso, Scheduling Coordinator

Biography

 

Carla joined our team in 2012 as a scheduling coordinator, shortly after moving to Florida from Maine.  She brings with her a diverse dental backround.  Carla started her career in dentistry as a dental assistant and discovered early on that she had a heart for assisting patients with improving their overall health and smiles. Carla pursued a career in Dental Hygiene and gratuated from Westbrook College in Miane with an Associate Degree in Science and Dental Hygiene.  Carla's dental hygiene career afforded her many opportunities for advanced studies and therefore increasing her passion for teaching.  Carla worked as a Dental Consultant with a company based out of California and traveled throughout the United States and Canada training Dentists and their teams recognizing and treating periodontal disease.  After several years the traveling became difficult for Carla and her family.  She continued with her passion to educate and founded and deleloped, Pine Ridge publishing, Inc and created Twice Daily a personalized quarterly dental/wellness newsletter for dental practice patients.  Carla has 2 grown married sons.  Derek and his wife Melissa live in Honduras and Ryan and his wife Mandy live in Maine.  Carla comes from a large family and loves spending time with them.  Carlas faith is central to her life and how she spends much of her time.
