What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Two days prior to your appointment (or sooner) we kindly ask that you text us a picture of your insurance card to 941-743-7435 so we have time to verify your dental benefits.
On the day of your appointment please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows you time to complete necessary paperwork before your appointment begins.
Please bring your photo ID, insurance card if applicable, and a list of any current medications. All supplements and medications are important to list for your doctor. If you have current x-rays from a previous dentist, we ask that you request a copy to be mailed or emailed to our office at xray@pantherhollowdental.com
During your first appointment you will meet the dentist and their assistant. They will take any necessary x-rays and conduct a comprehensive exam. If any treatment is needed, they will also draft a treatment plan and review the information with you.
The comprehensive exam is completed prior to any cleanings with a hygienist as it allows the dentist to determine the health of your gums and supporting bone. Based upon the findings, your dentist will recommend a specific type of dental cleaning with one of our hygienists.
